Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox took classes in piano, flute and harpsichord in the Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 70s. She was able to survive on her student stipend while working part time jobs. Lennox was able to make a change in her profession following her dissatisfaction with her inexperience and lack of talent comparison with others Royal Academy students. Lennox was a part of a group known as Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. She left the band prior to their appearance in I.T.V's Talent program New Faces. The singer was the primary vocalist in The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to the year 1980. They met Dave Stewart, with whom she would form the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox went on to record her solo debut album Diva. The album was released in the year 1992. It became a huge hit both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album came out in November of 2014. The C.D. contains a collection of Lennoxs favourite soul jazz and blues tracks from her early years. In addition in May 2019 Lennox released Lepidoptera an album of four piano pieces that she improvised. The E.P. Her first album"Now I Letting You Go... was released as an accompaniment to her installation of art at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox (born December 25 in 1954) is an artist from Scotland. Scottish musician and political activist. The Tourists had a minor success in the late 1970s. Lennox and Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, proceeded to achieve international fame in 1980s with the Eurythmics. Lennox started her solo career in 1992 when she released the album of Diva that featured several hit songs like Why as well as walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is the album she recorded as her first studio album in 1995. It features cover versions of songs like The No MoreI I Love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums by her solo and one compilation album are at her disposal.
